Aquamate large water tanks use a heavy duty galvanized coating on its metal tank shells, in combination with a flexible monofilament polyethylene liner, to provide a durable solution for rainwater storage.
Being maintenance free, Aquamate’s large water tanks are well suited to remote locations. Our large water tanks can feed directly into livestock troughs or be connected in-line into irrigation systems.
Aquamate’s range of fire water tanks is ideally suited to providing protection for homes and barns in wildfire-prone areas.
Aquamate engineered large water tanks are available in a range of sizes and configurations, up to 43′ diameter & 200,000 gallons to suit commercial and industrial fire tank installations.

In-house Tank Liner Fabrication
Aquamate have extensive experience in the manufacture of liners for large water tanks through its thirty-year history. Over many years of feedback and testing, Aquamate have perfected the fabrication of thin-gauge geomembranes to produce a superior quality product.
We use a BPA and pesticide free, solid food grade tank liner suitable for potable water use and certified to ‘NSF/ANSI 61:Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects’, as opposed to a coated mesh, because a solid liner is resistant to fatigue cracking and super stretchy – important characteristics needed for a durable steel water tank.
Every single one of Aquamate’s liners are manufactured and tested in-house at our Australian production facility for distribution throughout the world. This is the reason we can afford to offer our “No Service Costs” guarantee.

Aquamate Manufactures its Own Cold Formed Steel
Aquamate also cold-roll its own metal cistern panels at its world class factory. The corrugated profile allows the panels to be lightweight, easy to transport and simple to install on site while retaining the strength to resist water, wind, and earthquakes. Combined with Aquamate’s polyethylene liner fabrication capability, these are the critical components in each Large Water Tank.
Lightweight steel panels and heavy duty galvanizing make Aquamate’s large water tank shells perfectly suited for water storage. Aquamate’s tank panels are covered with a galvanized coating that’s 1.45 ounces per square foot (G145) – the thickest advertised coating on the market. By using lightweight thin-gauge steel panels, Aquamate’s Large Water Tanks have all of the required strength to resist water and seismic loads without the excess material cost.

For our large water tanks, we use a galvanized tank shell, rather than a Zincalume shell, which means no sacrificial anodes. Our large water tanks have three main applications.
